How to measure a gutter cleaning job
- Pace or measure the gutter along the ground. Count each storey separately because ladder moves get slower higher up.
- Count downspouts one by one. A blocked one can take several times longer than a clear one.
- Steep roofs, solar panels and gutter guards slow the job a lot. Raise the minutes for those.
What this free version leaves out
Most of the time on a gutter job is ladder moves, not scooping. That is why storey height changes the price more than gutter length does. It also prices every customer the same way, whatever the season, the access or how the first call went. The full CrewBrain pricing engine takes those into account.

Questions owners ask
How do you price gutter cleaning?
By linear foot and storey, plus downspouts, with a minimum charge. The calculator turns those into person-hours, adds disposal and fuel, then applies your margin.
Why charge more for two storeys?
A taller ladder is slower to move, slower to climb and needs more care. The time per foot goes up, so the price has to go up with it.
What about gutter guards?
Removing and refitting guards is extra time. Raise the minutes per 10 feet, or add the guard work as its own job.
